Born behind the bar at 723 Felspar Street

The name is a nod to the place that started it all.

JRDN at 723 Felspar Street, Pacific Beach — where 723 Ice Company was born

We're childhood friends who have spent more than 15 years in San Diego's service industry. We landed our first bartending jobs together at JRDN in Pacific Beach, at 723 Felspar Street. It's where we fell in love with hospitality, and where we both met our future wives, now the mothers of our kids.

In 2023 we launched 723 Ice Company and named it after that address. At the time, San Diego bartenders had very few options for clear ice. Our first day, we were cutting blocks with chainsaws. The process has come a long way since then, and so have we.

Today we're a proud local supplier to more than 30 bars and restaurants across San Diego County. We've learned from some of the best people in the industry, and we still run the business the way we ran a bar: show up, be consistent, and take care of the people you serve.

Reliable, consistent, and obsessed with the details.

That's the whole job.

Why clear ice makes a better cocktail

Ice is the one ingredient in almost every drink on your menu. Premium clear ice changes how a cocktail looks, tastes, and holds up from the first sip to the last.

01 CLARITY

Glass-clear presentation

No cloudy center, no bubbles. A clear cube makes a simple pour look like a signature drink and photographs beautifully for your guests' feeds.

02 SLOW MELT

Less dilution

Dense, large-format ice melts slower than bagged or machine ice, so the spirit stays balanced instead of watering down halfway through the glass.

03 NEUTRAL

Odorless and flavorless

Nothing from the ice ends up in the drink. The spirit and the bartender's work are what your guest tastes.

Tested Behind High-Volume Wells

Trusted by the Region's Finest Mixologists

From Michelin-caliber tasting menus to high-volume speakeasies, discover why top beverage directors refuse to pour over ordinary ice.

"Switching our whiskey lounge to 723 Ice Co. cubes was the single highest-impact upgrade we made this year. Not a single customer complains about a $24 pour when they see an impeccably clear, 2-inch rock stamped with our emblem."

Marcus Vance
Beverage Director
The Oak & Ember Club — Downtown Historic District

"The Collins spears are flawless. Carbonation in our highballs lasts all the way down, and the delivery driver brings them frozen solid straight into our backbar chest. Zero clumping, zero cloudy centers."

Elena Rostova
Head Mixologist
Velvet Parlor & Rooftop — North Quarter

"For our 250-guest gala, 723 delivered custom monogrammed spheres for the bride and groom's signature bourbon drinks. People were taking photos of the drinks all evening. Worth every penny."

Frequently asked questions

How much does clear ice cost?

Pricing depends on the cut and your volume. Most of our clients are bars and restaurants on recurring wholesale accounts. Call or email us for a quote and we'll put together pricing for your program.

What sizes of clear ice do you offer?

We offer nine standard cuts: five cubes from 1.75" to 2" x 2" x 3", two Collins spears (1.25" x 5" and 1.5" x 5"), and two spheres (1.5" and 2.75"). We also create custom cuts on request.

What does clear ice do to a cocktail?

Clear ice is dense, odorless, and flavorless, and it melts slower than standard ice. That means less dilution, a colder drink for longer, and a cleaner presentation that lets the spirit or cocktail shine.

Is there a minimum order for delivery?

No. There is no minimum order for delivery.

How much notice do you need? Do you offer same-day delivery?

Two days' lead time is appreciated. If we have your product on hand, we will deliver the same day. Being available at a moment's notice is a big part of how we work.

Where are you located, and where do you deliver?

We're based in San Diego and operate as a delivery-only company with no storefront. We deliver across San Diego County from Barrio Logan to Dana Point.

How is your clear ice made?

Our ice is cut by hand from clear ice and sized to spec. We do not use ice molds. When we started in 2023 we were cutting with chainsaws, and we've refined the process ever since.

Can I make clear ice with distilled water?

Distilled water on its own won't give you clear ice. Clarity comes from the freezing and cutting process, not just the water.

What does "723" mean?

723 is the street number of JRDN at 723 Felspar Street in Pacific Beach, where our founders got their first bartending jobs together. The name honors the place that started it all.

Is clear ice only for high-end cocktail bars?

Not at all. Neighborhood bars, restaurants, beach spots, and event venues use clear ice to upgrade any spirit-forward drink or highball.

How do I pay?

Wholesale accounts are invoiced and paid through QuickBooks.
